RASHEEDA
A passionate, trauma informed psychotherapist offering mental health support to individuals & couples. For 20+ years, I’ve helped clients as they navigate the sometimes murky waters of life. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, conflicts in relationships & processing trauma. My approach to therapy takes into account clients’ diverse experiences and individual identities (e.g.ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation etc.).

Credentials
Seasoned psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience in the field. Academically, I have completed a
Bachelor of Psychology followed by a Master’s of Education, Counselling. In addition to my formal academic training, I have also completed various training courses and certifications to ensure that my clinical skills remain current and relevant.
To fully support my clients, I continue to participate in regular individual and group supervision with experienced therapists who are well-versed in my preferred theoretical orientations, areas of practice and ethical standards.

In my practice, I work with individuals and couples over the age of 18. For close to 20 years, I’ve worked with individuals as they navigate the sometimes murky waters of life. I have supported them as they cope with various emotional, interpersonal and relational challenges including:
Emotional Regulation
Processing emotions (e.g., anger, guilt, shame, sadness etc.), coping with anxiety, depression & life stressors
Trauma
Dealing with trauma past and present trauma (physical sexual, emotional abuse, mistreatment, abandonment and neglect)
Interpersonal Relationships
Cultivating healthy interpersonal relationships (e.g. boundary setting, assertiveness and improving communication skills) and coping with stress and conflict in intimate relationships
Emotional Regulation. Trauma.
Interpersonal Relationship.
All these issues are addressed within a trauma-informed, culturally diverse framework while taking into account clients’ lived experiences and unique individual identities (e.g. ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation etc.).
